Organism Identification
A Bumblebee bats, also known as a Kitti's hog-nosed bat, scientific name is Craseonycteris thonglongyai.
Synthesis
the picture on the right shows how an enzyme
helps bumblebee bats build something in their bodies.
3 things that bumblebee bats make within their body 1. ATP 2. stomach acids 3. brain fluids This is the equation the bumblebee bats use to break down their food into energy(ATP's)
C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6 H2O + 36 or 38 ATP (cellular respiration) |
Regulation
Bumblebee bats are an Eukaryota organism. This is because this bat has a complex cell system, unlike prokaryotic cells. They have a mitochondria which creates ATP, the energy needed to perform tasks. They also have a nucleus which contains DNA and has the brains to make the other structures of the cell work correctly. Eukaryotic organisms are not bacteria, the bumblebee bat is not a bacteria.
Four Factors in the environment that would negatively impact Bumblebee bats:
1. tourist disturbance- People love to look at interesting and cute creatures, which it just so happens bumblebee bats are. Although it seems like enjoying nature is harmless, the popularity of cute creatures causes harm to them. The demand for them rises.
2. burning of forests- either it be a wildfire or a purposeful burning of a forest, this causes harm to many creatures who live there, including the bumblebee bats.
3. extreme temperatures- temperatures too cold, and temperatures too hot can make any animal unfit for the weather die. Bumblebee bats are tiny and don't have much body heat making them even more vulnerable.
4. droughts- the lack of water causes dehydration and eventually death. Bumblebee bats also need water to keep the water bugs in supply-one of their common prey.
